D&D Go

Dungeons and Dragons is a complex fantasy role playing game that requires a large book of information. D&D GO is a companion application that allows players to create a character, access vast amounts of information and check stats effortlessly and quickly.

Use Case Situation

Part of what makes Dungeons and Dragons such an incredible game is the ability to customize 100% of the characters and world in which players interact. There are a myriad of details required to create that world and its inhabitants. For a new player this can be overwhelming and confusing. Imagine this app as the "Swiss Army knife" of D&D resources. By creating a mobile app users are able to access information at any time without having to carry around more tools. In order to further understand the audience I was targeting I created a user persona.

Information At Your Fingertips

With my unique approach to creating a character, both new and seasoned players will have an easy time creating incredible characters for gameplay. This allows the player to focus on the fun of the game and not get bogged down by the process.

Dynamic Character Sheet

When users open their character sheet, they will have all pertinent information at their fingertips. They will also be able to change the statistics of their character easily and quickly. This allows for the game to run smoothly without having to pause and reference information.

Super Search

D&D Go uses a simple search that allows users to search for anything from beasts to weapons. Users will be able to access all relevant information for that item without having to scour books and websites during gameplay.

Next Steps

The next steps to completing this app include:

  1. Doing another round of user testing to see how my design is recieved
  2. Adding subtle illustrations for visual interest
  3. Including images of races and backgrrounds in descriptions
